JSON Pipeline: Chain Tools Together

Run several tools in a row, each one feeding the next, so a job like decode Base64, pick fields with jq and convert to CSV happens in one go. Show every step keeps each step's output and marks the values it changed, added or removed.

How do I use the JSON pipeline?

  1. Paste your input.
  2. Pick the steps, or press Load sample for a ready-made chain.
  3. Turn on Show every step to see each step's output and what it changed.

What does the JSON pipeline do?

  • 37 steps: decode and encode, Repair, jq, JMESPath, JSONPath, SQL, pick and omit fields, key case, flatten, mask, and conversions to and from YAML, CSV, XML, TOML and query strings
  • Ready-made chains: Base64 → jq → CSV, a login token → jq → YAML, CSV → SQL, and Repair → Mask → Remove empty
  • Each step's output kept, with changed, added and removed values marked
  • Steps saved in this browser

Frequently asked questions

Can a step take a filter or query?
Yes. jq, JMESPath, JSONPath and SQL steps take their own filter, and Pick fields, Omit fields and Key case take their own settings.
