GraphQL Request Formatter
In DevTools a GraphQL call is one JSON body with the whole query squeezed into an escaped string. Paste it here to read the query with proper indents and the variables as JSON, see which required variables are missing, and turn a query back into a request to send.
How do I use the GraphQL request?
- Copy the request payload from DevTools (or a log, a HAR or an address with ?query=) and paste it.
- Read the formatted query and the variables; any missing required variable is listed.
- To send one, switch to Query and variables → request and pick a JSON body, a GET address or a cURL command.
What does the GraphQL request do?
- Formats queries, mutations, subscriptions and fragments
- Batched requests (a list of bodies) and GET addresses
- Missing required variables and ones the query doesn't declare
- Builds the POST body, the GET address or a cURL command
- operationName for documents with several operations
- Chain steps for the query and the variables
Frequently asked questions
- Does it send the request?
- No. It only reads and writes requests; use the cURL command or your client to send one.
- Is my data uploaded?
- No. Bracely runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you paste or open leaves your device.
