What is Bracely?

Bracely is a free JSON toolkit that runs entirely in your web browser. It formats, validates, repairs, queries, compares, converts and masks JSON, with more than 60 tools on one page. Nothing you paste is uploaded, there is no sign-up, and it works offline. Saurabh Pagrut builds and maintains it.

Who is Bracely for?

Bracely is for anyone who reads or edits JSON: backend and frontend developers checking API responses, QA engineers comparing payloads, data analysts turning exports into spreadsheets, and support teams who must share logs without personal data. It solves one problem: doing every JSON job in one private place instead of pasting data into many different websites.

What can you do with Bracely?

Debug an API response
Paste the response into the JSON Formatter. Bracely indents it, shows the line and column of the first error, and lets you browse it in Tree view.
Fix broken JSON from a log or an AI answer
JSON Repair fixes comments, single quotes, trailing commas and cut-off endings, then lists every change with its line and reason.
Review a config or API change
JSON Diff compares two documents and can ignore key order. The API change checker flags changes that break clients.
Share data without leaking personal details
Mask JSON data hides emails, phone numbers, cards and tokens, and the PII scanner finds them first.
Generate types from a sample
JSON to TypeScript, Go and 14 other targets turn one sample into ready-to-paste models.
Turn an export into a spreadsheet
JSON to CSV and JSON to Excel flatten nested objects into columns with dotted names.
Find values in a large payload
The jq Playground runs jq filters as you type. JSONPath, JMESPath and SQL queries work too.

How do I install Bracely?

You don't have to: every tool works on the website. To open it like an app, or from the browser toolbar:

  1. Open the website. Go to bracely.saurabhpagrut.in in any modern browser. Every tool works straight away, with no account.
  2. Install it as an app on a computer. In Chrome or Edge, choose Install in the address bar or the browser menu. Bracely then opens in its own window and works offline.
  3. Install it on a phone. On Android, open the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen. On iPhone or iPad, tap Share in Safari, then Add to Home Screen.
  4. Add the browser extension (optional). Bracely is also an extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox. It opens from the toolbar or with Alt+Shift+J, and Open selection in Bracely sends text you select on any page straight to it.

Frequently asked questions

What is Bracely?
Bracely is a free, browser-based JSON toolkit by Saurabh Pagrut. It formats, validates, repairs, queries, compares, converts and masks JSON with more than 60 tools on one page. Everything runs on your device, so nothing you paste is uploaded.
Is Bracely free?
Yes. All 60+ tools are free, with no account, no limits and no ads.
Is my JSON sent to a server?
No. Every tool runs locally in your browser. Bracely has no analytics, tracking or cookies, so it is safe for API responses, logs and tokens you can't share.
How do I format JSON online?
Paste your JSON into the Input box of the JSON Formatter, or open or drop a file. Bracely indents it at once with 2 spaces, 4 spaces or tabs, and points to the line and column of any error. Then copy the result or save it.
What is the difference between a JSON formatter and a JSON validator?
A JSON formatter re-indents JSON so it is easy to read. A JSON validator checks that the text follows the JSON rules and reports the first error. Bracely does both at once: formatting fails with an exact error position when the JSON is invalid.
How do I fix invalid JSON?
Open JSON Repair and paste the broken text. It fixes comments, single quotes, unquoted keys, trailing or missing commas, Python values like True and None, and cut-off endings, then lists every change it made.
Can Bracely open large JSON files?
Yes. Large inputs are processed in a background worker so the page stays responsive, and Tree view opens big files two levels deep at first.
Does Bracely work offline?
Yes. Once loaded, the website works offline and can be installed as an app. The Chrome, Edge and Firefox extensions work offline too.
Can I convert JSON to CSV, Excel or YAML?
Yes. Bracely converts JSON to and from YAML, CSV, XML, TOML and Excel, and generates code in 16 languages and formats, including TypeScript, Go, Python and Java.
Who makes Bracely?
Saurabh Pagrut designs and builds Bracely as an independent project. Feedback and bug reports go to getsaurabhpagrut@gmail.com.
